Domaine Bernard Haas & Fils (Kaysersberg). Located in the heart of the village of Kaysersberg, this estate covers almost 13 hectares of vines. For several generations, harvesting and vinification have been carried out with the greatest respect for the environment and the terroir.

The estate offers a variety of white, red and rosé wines, made from the 7 traditional grape varieties of Alsace.
Domaine Emile Beyer (Eguisheim). Rooted in the Eguisheim vineyards since 1580, the 14 generations of Beyer have succeeded one another over the years, always sharing their passion and expertise for wine. The Beyer family will be delighted to offer you a tasting of Alsace wines and introduce you to their organically produced wines.
Achillée (Scherwiller). For over two decades, the Achillée vineyard has been committed to organic and biodynamic farming. The main concern of this estate is to cultivate the vines with the greatest care, favouring low yields to guarantee the quality of the wine.

The region’s must-see wine festivals and events

Every year, a number of events celebrate Alsace’s wine tradition, providing an opportunity to taste some of the region’s finest vintages. These events include:Alsace wine tasting

  • The Winegrowers’ Festival in Ribeauvillé. Every year in July, the Winegrowers’ Festival celebrates the region’s wines. Tastings, decorated floats and folk entertainment are all on the programme.
  • The Colmar Wine Fair. This is one of the biggest and most eagerly awaited wine events in August.Thousands of visitors from France and abroad come to Colmar to discover Alsace’s wine expertise. At the heart of this gastronomic and wine fair, wine lovers can indulge in tastings of Alsace’s precious grape varieties, meet local winemakers and enjoy a lively atmosphere thanks to concerts and other entertainment.
  • The Vignerons Indépendants wine fair in Strasbourg. This fair takes place every year in November. Alsatian winegrowers have the opportunity to present their wines to visitors keen to taste a wide variety of Alsatian wines.

 

 

The Alsace Wine Museum: not to be missed by wine lovers! Have a fun Alsace Wine Tasting!

What if we told you that you could learn all about the history and secrets of Alsatian wine while tasting some of Alsace’s most famous grape varieties? No, you’re not dreaming, it’s possible at the Musée des Vins d’Alsace in Colmar. Located in the heart of the city of Colmar, this museum immerses you in Alsace’s terroir and the region’s wine history.

During your visit, you can also sample three different glasses from the Domaine viticole de Colmar range (Riesling, Gewurztraminer or Pinot noir). If you prefer, you can opt for a tasting of grape juice with the aromas of the same grape varieties. You’ll also be able to take part in a range of activities along the way. What’s more, the tour is completely self-guided, thanks to a detailed audio guide. It traces the history of Colmar’s vineyards and describes the jobs involved in wine production. It’s a fun, interactive experience for all the family.
