Choco-Story and the Alsatian Wines Museum

The founders

The Choco-Story museum was originally a private initiative of the Van Belle family, chocolate enthusiasts who opened their first Choco-Story museum in Bruges, Belgium, in 2004.
A second museum opened in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2008, and it was only natural that the gourmet chocolate museum should arrive in Paris in 2010.
Since then, other museums have sprung up in Europe and America…

Eddy Van Belle

Eddy Van Belle, our collector, regularly acquires numerous pieces for our museums.

He also travels the globe in search of new information or new secrets about chocolate.

All the items collected are then incorporated into our museums, either directly into our collections (objects, photos, videos) or through publications that we regularly issue and which are available in our boutiques.

Cédric Van Belle

He fell in love with chocolate when he was a child!

He wasn’t pre-destined to create museums, but his association with his father, Eddy Van Belle, led him down a new road to showcase the collections that enrich the family heritage.

He has launched several museums, including our first Chocolate Museum in Bruges, the French Fry Museum, the Lamp Museum, and is still working on new collections…

Fabrice Stijnen

Engaged in an exciting adventure!

Fabrice studied with Cédric Van Belle and then left Belgium to work in France. When Cédric launched the Musée du Chocolat in Bruges, Fabrice suggested replicating the experience in Paris, a tourist city par excellence and a chocolate lover par excellence.

That’s how he became part of the Choco-Story museum adventure and developed the Parisian activity
